Hose Tips

Cleaning / maintenance:
We recommend to use hot soapy water for cleaning silicone hoses. Never use petroleum-based solvents on the hoses for example W40 or 5-56. This bleches the color of the hose, and breaks down the silicone rubber.
To get best gloss on your silicone hoses, we recommend to use SiliShine. SiliShine is a unique product developed for the treatment / polishing of silicone hoses. See picture below:

Cutting:

To get a straight and nice cutting surface when cutting a silicone hose, we recommend to mount a hose clamp on the hose. The edge of the hose clamp is where the hose will be cut, then cut carefully by the edge of the hose clamp to get a nice cut.

Mounting:
Inside diameter of hose should be equal or slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the tube to be fitted. The hose should never be stretched/wrinkled/forced to place as it could damage the hose.
Hose clamp should be mounted directly behind the collar of the tube to prevent the hose from sliding off.

Hose clamp:

It is important to use a hose clamp of quality to safely retain the hosse on the tube. Our T-bolt clamps guarantee a high clamping pressure around the hose without any damage to the hose as traditional clamps may do.
